Obsessed with NYC (catch up post)

My mom turned 60 in August 2010 and her one birthday wish was to go to New York City. So, my dad being the awesome guy that he is, said he would pay for mom and myself to go to NYC for a weekend!!!  We decided to plan the trip in early December so we could experience NYC during the Christmas season!

Let me just say....I am officially obsessed with all things New York City!! It was the most amazing trip! We had such a great time, eating, sightseeing, and my favorite, shopping on Canal Street. We got to see the Rockettes Christmas Show, which was awesome by the way! We did all things touristy and enjoyed every minute of it!! The only and I mean only downside was the temperature. When we arrived on Thursday evening it was relatively cold...high 30's...cold but bearable. Friday was the same, low in the 20's & high in the 30's. But by Saturday the temp dropped, wind kicked up and we were miserable!!! The wind just cuts right through you. We have since decided that our next NYC trip will be planned during the Spring or Fall. Maybe Daddy will pay for that one too :)!!!

Thankful

Everyday I give thanks to the Lord...I thank him for all the blessings he's bestowed to me and most importantly I thank Him for my family and my time with them. Yes..sometimes I complain and take them for granted but I love them more than anything else in the world and am sooooo grateful each day I have them.

But today, I'm especially thankful...today a dear friend of mine is saying good-bye to her 7 month old son. My heart aches for her. While I know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, my heart still hurts. I pray that they can find peace and comfort and know that they now have a precious angel baby watching over them

Just another reminder that life is a gift and we never truly know God's plan for us.
Thank you Lord for my babies!

The plan was to catch up on my posts since Halloween but I don't feel like it today....so I'm just gonna post some pictures and tell ya what we've been up to.

John started T-ball last month and is doing SO well this year. He's actually participating and most importantly he's having fun! This makes me a happy happy mommy! He's doing well in school and we're preparing for Kindergarten in the fall...unbelievable!!!

Wyatt is growing soooo fast. Since we got his reflux under control, he's a changed baby. Long gone are the miserable, scream filled, sleepless nights. He's officially in his room and sleeping through the night! THANK YOU LORD! He's the sweetest baby and ADORES his big brother. I love watching them interact...John watches out for Wyatt and Wyatt is in awe of John!

I love my boys!!!
