Seaworld San Antonio

Tim had a wonderful idea to go to Seaworld San Antonio for a weekend. So I did some research, picked a weekend and booked our trip. We had a great time! It really was fun and the weather couldn't have been any better. The hotel we stayed in was super cool! It had this beautiful outdoor patio area, where they had mutiple fire pits where we roasted marshmallows for smores and even watched the Texas/Mizzou game. It was really nice!

John really surprised me. He has a tendancy to be somewhat of a scaredy cat but not this day. He had no fear! He enjoyed every bit of it. He even gave "Shamu" aka "Shampoo" a hug & kiss! It was really awesome to watch him and his reactions!

Fall in Effect

Summer has come and gone and fall is in full effect! YEAH!

We've had a lot going on lately. It all started when Hurricane Ike decided to take a turn and head right into Galveston Bay. I have to tell ya, I was in denial that it was coming our way. We've just had so many tropical storms/hurricanes that are supposedly coming right at us and then they divert and hit somewhere else. But this one actually did and it was quite a storm. We were very lucky that we didn't have any damage to our house. The worst part was not having any power!!! B/c when you live in the sticks, everything is down without power, i.e. water and septic system. Luckily we did have a generator and the weather ended up being beautiful, after the storm of course!

Let's see, what else have we been up too?!?! Opening season for bow hunting started so Tim was gone for a weekend to get all his stuff set. Then he had his yearly Dove hunt with the guys in south Texas. That same weekend I was able to get away by myself to Dallas and see some of my friends that I haven't seen in forever. We shopped, drank, gabbed, and drank! It was a good time and much needed. This past weekend, Tim was busy with one of his buddy's bachelor party stuff. So my mom came in and we played and shopped. John and I carved his pumpkin that Pop Pop bought him which he liked. He wasn't real keen on digging out the guts but he likes looking at his pumpkin every night!
